Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen offers an elevated expression of Pakistani, Indian, and Afghan cuisine, bringing together regional flavors, refined technique, and a sophisticated dining experience rooted in cultural tradition. First opened in Downtown Fullerton in February 2020, Khan Saab has since become a destination for thoughtfully executed, 100% halal cuisine, earning ongoing recognition for its balance of authenticity and innovation. The restaurant has expanded its presence to Los Angeles, continuing its mission to introduce a broader audience to modern South Asian dining in a fully immersive setting.
At the helm is Chef-Partner Imran Ali Mookhi, a culinary veteran whose career spans world-class kitchens and training under Michelin-starred chefs. His background includes leadership roles at acclaimed restaurants such as Tantra on Sunset, Tamarind of London (Newport Coast), Dosa, and Tumbi (Santa Monica), where his work was highlighted in the MICHELIN Guide in 2020. At Khan Saab, Chef Mookhi brings a refined yet soulful approach to traditional flavors, crafting menus that honor heritage while embracing a contemporary California sensibility.
Staying true to halal tradition, Khan Saab is entirely alcohol-free, a philosophy that has helped position the restaurant at the forefront of the growing national movement toward mindful, inclusive dining. The beverage program elevates the experience through thoughtfully crafted mocktails, traditional drinks such as lassi, and a curated selection of non-alcoholic offerings inspired by Desi flavors and global influences.
With locations in Orange County and Los Angeles, Khan Saab continues to raise the standard for halal fine dining in Southern California—offering cuisine, hospitality, and storytelling that reflect both cultural pride and modern refinement.
