Khan Saab Desi Craft Kitchen is a modern expression of South Asian dining—one rooted in the culinary traditions of Pakistan and India, elevated through thoughtful technique, intentional design, and cultural storytelling. Founded in Downtown Fullerton in February 2020, Khan Saab was created to challenge expectations of what halal dining could be, pairing heritage flavors with refined execution in a space designed to feel immersive, expressive, and elegant. Today, the brand has expanded to Los Angeles, continuing its mission to introduce a broader audience to a new standard of South Asian cuisine.

At the heart of Khan Saab is Chef-Partner Imran Ali Mookhi, a culinary veteran whose career spans world-class kitchens and training under MICHELIN-starred chefs. His leadership roles at acclaimed concepts including Tantra on Sunset, Tamarind of London in Newport Coast, Dosa, and Tumbi in Santa Monica have shaped a culinary point of view that balances tradition with innovation. Under his leadership, Khan Saab has been awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand every year since 2021, a distinction that reflects the restaurant’s consistency, quality, and commitment to excellence.

Khan Saab operates with a 100% halal philosophy, a value that informs every aspect of the experience. Staying true to this ethos, the restaurant is entirely alcohol-free, replacing conventional cocktail programs with a thoughtfully developed non-alcoholic bar. Crafted mocktails, traditional beverages such as lassi, and a curated selection of alcohol-free offerings are designed with the same care, balance, and complexity found throughout the kitchen—proving that a complete, elevated dining experience does not require compromise.

More than a restaurant, Khan Saab is a celebration of culture, craft, and community. With locations in Orange County and Los Angeles, the brand continues to redefine South Asian dining.
